WATERPROOFING A BASEMENT OF THE NEW BUILDING

The default of the private developers required the construction of open to diffusion, monolithic cellar and garage walls from WU concrete without including a bituminous external seals according to DIN 18195 part 6 (8-2000) as well as the exclusion of the use of vapour density insulating materials. The concrete surfaces in contact with the Earth were treated from outside and inside fully with Controll® Innerseal..

The exterior walls 3 times with 30 minutes interval and the interior walls 2 times with 30 minutes interval, immediately after the discharge of formwork, i.e. after a day of switching time.

A water-impermeable but permeable structure was achieved through this way of “Young concrete”. The lambda value improved up to a 20%. The concrete was permanently protected against improper water inlet and humic acids. Through the crystalline structure of the CRI, the steel reinforcement (c = 5 cm) is permanent protected against corrosion fracture or premature carbonation. After the treatment the soil could be filled just 1-2 days later again. and indoors after about 14 days a lime cement plasters are applied. Later, the surface version was produced with a diffusion-open silicate paint.

Controll® Innerseal makes concretes impervious to water against both, positive and negative hydrostatic pressure, and is an active a deeply urgent corrosion protection of reinforcement steel in concrete (Deep penetration > 195 mm). Also, any harmful salts in the mineral building material cast out during the crystallization and curing process.

Beyond the product properties Controll® Innerseal and Controll® Topseal stand out due to low cost and short lay on times.

We give a product warranty on the effect of Controll® Innerseal and Controll® Topseal by 10 years.
