Komsol® HYPRO – Surface repellency and stain resistance

Developed for professional use, Komsol HYPRO creates a breathable, water-repellent and stain-resistant surface that reduces water absorption and spill penetration – without altering the substrate’s natural structure or appearance.

This makes Komsol HYPRO particularly suitable for environments where long-term stain protection and preservation of the original material character are essential. It is ideal for polished concrete floors and self-levelling screeds commonly used in residential and commercial projects where a natural, matte finish is desired.

When applied to façades, Komsol HYPRO provides the same invisible and vapour-permeable water repellency, effectively reducing rainwater absorption and surface staining on exposed concrete and mineral substrates – without affecting colour, gloss or texture. This makes it ideal for architectural concrete, decorative panels and other vertical surfaces where the visual expression must be preserved over time.

Komsol HYPRO is a water-based, VOC-free formulation containing no harmful solvents. It has been evaluated from both a health and sustainability perspective, making it suitable for use in environmentally certified building projects.

On floor surfaces exposed to high mechanical stress, Komsol HYPRO can advantageously be preceded by a base treatment with Komsol SEAL, which increases wear resistance by more than 60 % and significantly extends the floor’s service life.
