Komsol Karsten | Water penetration test kit

Water Penetration Test Kit is used as a rapid testing procedure of water penetration in building materials, including concrete, masonry, stone, plaster and other porous mineral material. It simulates pelting rain during 2x hurricane condition (157 km/h) according to the Karsten method.

We strongly recommend using this method for evaluation of water resistance before and after waterproofing treatment.

The test consists of a glass tube filled with water, connected to the test material through plastiline. Water pressure is then exerted on the surface. Gradually a scale indicates the amount of water penetrated into the surface.

THE WATER PENETRATION KIT INCLUDES:

2 Glass tubes for horizontal test (i.e. floors, roofs)
1 Laboratory water bottle
250 gr Plastiline (sticky clay)
1 Marker
